Cutting & Grinding Discs: T41/T42, EN12413 and MPA Explained | FANXI
T41 vs T42 — The Shape
T41 (Type 1) is a flat, straight disc — cuts flush to the surface, ideal for bar, pipe and sheet. T42 (Type 27) has a depressed centre so the hub sits below the cutting plane; built for cutting and light grinding at an angle with a raised-hub guard.
The Safety Marks That Matter
- Max RPM / 80 m/s peripheral speed — a disc run above rated speed can shatter.
- EN12413 — the European bonded-abrasive safety standard buyers' compliance teams require.
- MPA — third-party testing mark where applicable; a strong trust signal in export markets.
FANXI Cutting & Grinding Range
- 8109 — T41 metal cutting.
- 8111 — T41 ultra-thin (less heat, less burr) for metal & inox.
- 8112 / 8113 — inox cutting / grinding (no iron/sulfur/chlorine contamination).
- 8114 — non-ferrous.
- 8100 — flap disc (Type 27/29, zirconia) for a cleaner finish.
